Gynecological Cancer

Survivors of Gynecologic Cancer

Over 80 thousand women are diagnosed with gynecologic cancer each year. For the majority, gynecologic cancer is a survivable disease. While there are reports indicating that the majority of women face sexual difficulties following treatment, there is little data regarding other aspects of quality of life, including emotional or social adjustment, occupational outcomes, or symptoms and general health. We are interested in surveying women treated for cancer within the last two to ten years. We are very interested in the views of racial/ethnic minority women and women with financial difficulties; oftentimes the needs of these women go unmet. The survey will include quality of life, mood, social involvement, stress, sexuality, and any symptoms or health problems you may be having. We are surveying women seen through the Gynecology Oncology Division at OSU as well as women receiving follow up care elsewhere.
