Salene Wu

Salene Wu graduated summa cum laude from the University of Washington in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She worked as an undergraduate research assistant in Dr. Robert Kohlenberg's Treatments for Depression Lab and published a paper based on this work entitled Differences in Interrater Reliability and Accuracy for a Treatment Adherence Scale. From 2003 to 2006, she worked with Dr. Frances M. Lewis at the University of Washington on studies of families' adaptation to breast cancer. From 2005 to 2006, she volunteered with the King County Crisis Line in Washington State. In 2006, Salene became a research coordinator for the Patient Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS) site at the University of Washington. She began her graduate studies in clinical psychology at The Ohio State University in 2007. Salene's research interests include depression and anxiety in people with cancer, as well as psychometrics and health disparities.
