Eleshia Morrison

Originally from Toronto, Canada, Eleshia Morrison completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology at McGill University in 2005 (Montreal, Quebec). During the course of her undergraduate studies, she pursued research interests first under Dr. Mark Baldwin, examining social cognition and theories of implicit self-esteem in children and adults, and second with Dr. John R.Z. Abela, conducting research and clinical work concerning cognitive vulnerability to depression in children and adolescents. From 2005-2007, Eleshia worked as a research assistant with a psychosocial oncology research team lead by Dr. Zeev Rosberger (Dir. of Psychology) of Montreal?s Jewish General Hospital. There, she was the head coordinator of a project examining the psychosocial impact of human papillomavirus (HPV) versus Pap testing for cervical cancer screening in 800 French-Canadian women. In fall 2007, she began her graduate studies in clinical psychology at The Ohio State University. Eleshia?s research interests include stress and coping, physiological implications of stress, minority health, women?s health, pediatric health and quality of life.
