Chien-Ni Chang
Chien-Ni Chang was born in Taipei, Taiwan. She began her studies at The Ohio State University in 1994. There she earned a Master of Art degree in Teaching English as a Second Language in 1995, and a doctoral degree in Teacher Education with a focus on multicultural education in 2005. In the doctoral program, she worked on a longitudinal study which evaluated the master's certification program at The Ohio State University (OSU M.Ed.) from 1991 - 2002. Her dissertation was an ethnographic study of teachers' competence in meeting the diverse needs of students from different cultural backgrounds. She has worked as a project coordinator at the Research Institute at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, from 2006 to 2007. Her research focus was mental health services for disadvantaged teens. She is currently working as a data coordinator at the Stress and Immunity Cancer Project at The Ohio State University.
