Caroline Dorfman

Caroline Dorfman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 2008, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree cum laude in the Biological Basis of Behavior with minors in Sociology and Health Systems Management. As an undergraduate, she pursued research under Dr. Melissa Alderfer at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, assisting on projects examining children's adjustment to having a sibling with cancer. From 2008 to 2009, Caroline worked as a research assistant under Dr. Kathryn Taylor at Georgetown University's Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. There she worked on projects examining the quality of life of prostate cancer survivors and in developing and evaluating decision tools to educate men about prostate cancer screening. In Fall 2009, she began her graduate studies in clinical psychology at the Ohio State University. Her research interests include stress and coping, the relationship between social support and immune functioning, and quality of life.
