Deanna Speir

Deanna is from Sandusky, Ohio and is earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from The Ohio State University with a minor in organizational communication. As an undergraduate, Deanna worked as a student assistant in the Stress and Immunity Cancer Projects starting in Spring of 2011.
Deanna's work as an undergraduate student earned her the position as a research assistant in August of 2011, in which she runs the longitudinal study Psychological Intervention for Women with Breast Cancer and the Biobehavioral Aspects of Cancer Recurrence, as well as assisting with other ongoing studies including assessing patients and accruing participants.
Along with working at SICP, Deanna is also a therapist for an individual with special needs, a volunteer at Twin Valley Behavioral Hospital, and the secretary for the American Red Cross Club at The Ohio State University. She will be attending graduate school in the fall of 2012 at Bowling Green State University for Mental Health Counseling.
