Tom Valentine, M.S. 


Tom Valentine completed his Bachelor of Science in human development at Cornell University in 2012. He then worked as a full-time research assistant and study coordinator for the Mood Disorders Research Program and Laboratory for Clinical and Translational Neuroscience at Brown University's Butler Hospital. There, he was involved in several cross-sectional and longitudinal studies examining the interaction of neurobiological and psychosocial risk factors in the development of mood and anxiety disorders, as well as several randomized controlled trials investigating the efficacy of neuromodulation treatments for major depressive disorder. Tom began his graduate studies at The Ohio State University in the fall of 2014. His current research interests include examining interactions between cognition and emotion in clinical health populations and developing psychosocial interventions to improve functioning in these domains.
