Clarence (Aita) Coker, B.S.

Clarence (Aita) Coker earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from John Carroll University in Cleveland, OH. At JCU, he worked with Dr. Gerard Banez of the Cleveland Clinic, studying patient satisfaction and recovery following intensive rehabilitation for pediatric chronic pain. His senior thesis examined the psychometric properties of the Multidimensional Experiential Avoidance Questionnaire. He began graduate studies in clinical psychology at The Ohio State University in the Fall of 2019. He is broadly interested in studying biobehavioral correlates of long term illness as well as developing and refining interventions for these correlates.
